Survey of Madinat Jumeirah's Ballrooms for Industry Project Course
We are
doing a research project for Madinat Jumeirah’s Wedding Ballrooms in order to
identify the suggestions to make wedding parties of Madinat Jumeirah more
attractive to Emiratis. As they are suffering from lack of
local customers renting their wedding ballrooms.
Me and my team will help MJ to reach their
target and increase their local client in renting the wedding ballrooms as Mr. Khalid Shahdur, the Executive Sales Manager
requested from us by conducting a survey among young students in our college,
because they are reaching the perfect age for marriage. This will give us an
idea about local needs and wants from MJ management and its wedding ballrooms.
During the bazaar, we distributed the survey among DWC students which they were
very collaborative with filling it for us happily.

Peer Teaching Project in MIS
Yesterday we finished
Peer Teaching Project after working so hard on it. This project entitles each
group in the class with a chapter from 5 to 10 and teaches it to the students.
Our teacher decided to give us chapter 5 which is about (IT Infrastructure and
Emerging Technologies).
At the beginning we
found chapter 5 little bit difficult for us to understand. But after we had a
meeting with our teacher to discuss our ideas for this chapter and he explained
us what is important and what is not to explain in this chapter, we found it
very easy to demonstrate. We started to divide our work and research for the
lesson. We decided to bring a guest speaker who works in IT Department in
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for World Peace to give the students some
information and explain more about IT Infrastructure and Emerging Technologies.

How Much Sleep Do You Need?
Nowadays, people gets
busy in their life, they forget the important need of sleeping to our bodies.
The amount of sleep you need depends on various factors, especially your age. According
to my research considering these general guidelines for different age
groups:
Age group Recommended amount of sleep
- Infants: 14
to 15 hours
- Toddlers:12
to 14 hours
- School-age children: 10
to 11 hours
- Adults: 7
to 9 hours
In addition to age,
other factors may affect how many hours of sleep you need. For example:
Pregnancy. Changes in a woman's body during pregnancy can increase the need for
sleep.
Aging. Older adults need
about the same amount of sleep as younger adults. As you get older, however,
your sleeping patterns may change. Older adults tend to sleep more lightly and
awaken more frequently during the night than do younger adults. This may create
a need for or tendency toward daytime napping.
Previous sleep
deprivation. If you're sleep deprived, the amount of sleep you need increases.
Sleep quality. If your
sleep is frequently interrupted or cut short, you're not getting quality sleep and
the quality of your sleep is just as important as the quantity. To Read More Click Here

Some Cooking Tips For you!!
Cool tips for people who likes cooking like me :).
- Use herbs, vinegar, tomatoes, onions and/or fat-free or
low-fat sauces or salad dressings for better health, especially if you
have high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
- Use your time and your freezer wisely. When you cook
once, make it last longer by preparing enough for several other meals.
Freeze it and have a ready-made healthy treat for the next time you are
simply too tired to bother.
- A smoothie can cover a multitude of needs. Throw a
banana (you can keep them in the freezer for weeks) into your blender
along with frozen berries, kiwi or whatever fruit is around, some orange
or other 100% juice, some fat-free or low-fat yogurt. You can get 4–5
servings of fruit in one glass of yummy shake. Try getting your loved one
to sip on a smoothie. It’s easy, cool, refreshing and healthy.
- Prepared seasonings can have high salt content and
increase your risk for high blood pressure. Replace
salt with herbs and spices or some of the salt-free seasoning mixes. Use
lemon juice, citrus zest or hot chilies to add flavor.
- Prepare muffins and quick breads with less saturated
fat and fewer calories. Use three ripe, very well-mashed bananas, instead
of 1/2 cup butter, lard, shortening or oil or substitute one cup of
applesauce per one cup of these fats.
- Choose whole grain for part of your
ingredients instead of highly refined products. Use whole-wheat flour,
oatmeal and whole cornmeal. Whole-wheat flour can be substituted for up to
half of all-purpose flour. For example, if a recipe calls for 2 cups of
flour, try 1 cup all-purpose flour and 1 cup minus 1 tablespoon whole-wheat
flour.
- In baking, use plain fat-free or low-fat yogurt or
fat-free or low-fat sour cream.
- Another way to decrease the amount of fat and calories
in your recipes is to use fat-free milk or 1% milk instead of whole or
reduced-fat (2%) milk. For extra richness, try fat-free half-and-half or
evaporated skim milk.
